Can we now all agree that Pennsylvania IS NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN a SWING STATE?

Poll: Obama opens substantial leads in key swing states

"In Pennsylvania President Obama maintains a double digit lead over Mitt Romney overall......"

It is not a swing state if one candidate maintains a double digit lead and the state has gone for a single party in every closely contested election in recent memory.

Sorry for shouting but I get a little sensitive about the state I was born in and grew up in. I know it is Republican in the middle but overall it is a Democratic state and never has been a swing state in Presidential elections, at least since I was born.

3. Yes the MSM needs PA to be a "swing state" to maintain the fiction that Romney

has an even chance of winning. If PA is not a swing state Romney has a very narrow road to victory and it is like pulling teeth to get the MSM to admit that.

5. They should tell everyone that Alaska is a swing state.

Now I had to come back and make a remark about this. Do you know why Alaska is a swing state? Ask Todd Palin how many women during his marriage. They have got to stay warm during those cold winters. Just being stupid.

One of my favorite "All in the Family" episodes was when Edith answers an ad from a couple of swingers and she and Archie unknowingly host the couple at their house.

9. It's not now, but it's also not true that it never has been a swing state

1932--Hoover beat FDR in PA
1936--FDR
1940--FDR
1944--FDR
1948--Dewey beat Truman in PA
1952--Eisenhower (R)
1956--Eisenhower (R)
1960--Kennedy
1964--Johnson
1968--Humphrey
1972--Nixon (R)
1976--Carter
1980--Reagan (R)
1984--Reagan (R)
1988--Bush (R)

So from 1932-1988 PA went Democratic 7 times and Republican 8 times, so it was a swing state up until then. However, from 1992-2008 it has gone Democratic every time.
