I think this is the reason Sanders stated he wouldn't participate in unsanctioned debates. He wants to draw attention to the fact that they are unsanctioned. Debbie can either sanction them and admit her bias or stick to her garbage rules!

The DWS, as authoritarian ruler of the DNC, will boot the two from those two scheduled debates.

What will SBS do? Will be be allowed to stand on national stage for those 2-3 hours alone, fielding questions?

I highly doubt that DWS would allow that!

but I'm not sure it's win/win for them. At this point, whatever they do will be viewed suspiciously. As usual, the parlor tricks are just reinforcing Clinton's bad rep.
