Friday morning as I walked into my office I received a text message on my phone from a friend. She told me that she had a story that I must blog. I am having a busy week so I am a bit late. That said, the message is not too late to put out there.
My friend sent me the offensive photo here along with the Facebook name of the woman who this occurred to. She was adamant that I contact this woman. She told me in no uncertain terms that we simply should not let this incident go without as massive a coverage as we can provide.
I contacted the woman to get more information. Following is the response I got from her.
Thanks for blogging about it. Im doing the same.
Cassy
I then contacted her about sending me the original picture without the offensive word blocked out. I think the constant political correctness of talking about the N-word as opposed to the word NIGGER as if we are children make us deal with these issues like high school children.
I also asked her for personal information she was willing to divulge about herself publicly. Following is the uncensored photograph.

(44,173 posts)Says a lot about the kind of people that Romney and Ryan appeal to.

I went to mixed parties in the early 60s. That was a big deal to classmates, who used the N** Lover slur.
I had the presence of mind to say at least I was capable of love, while it looked like they were not.
They didn't bother me with it often.

(9,854 posts)I don't know why I don't expect women to be hateful like this, but it is more shocking to me that a woman did this than a man. But the handwriting looks feminine to me. Particularly the side that read "Romney/Ryan" etc.

"Republicans Rule!" Really? That's what you come up with? Woohoo!

(6,661 posts)We Texans here on this board are talking about changes, but not blue yet. The big cities - Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio - go Democratic. And with our state becoming a minority/majority state, I can see us turning blue within ten years.
But keep on hating and laughing. Your bigotry toward our state is noted. I'm sure there's no racism in Michigan.

(9,527 posts)It's easy to stereotype the south (I'm from Texas originally but I haven't lived there in over a decade), but there are a lot of good people there and a growing number of Democrats.

(25,415 posts)Fighting for Dems and liberal ideas is much harder in a red state where you get threatened for your bumper stickers or your signs get vandalized.
I have it easy in Connecticut and I know it. So I appreciate our red state Duers.

(36,392 posts)My hat is off to all of you who work to clean up your corners of Bushland. But state-wide your situation is getting worse. The governor & Senators & legislature as a whole are getting more reactionary, not less. If you would be less offended by me shaking my head instead of rofl, at the thought of Cornyn and Bailey and Perry, I'll do that. I laugh to keep from sobbing at how bad things are in Fox Nation.

(23,278 posts)Paul Sadler would make a big start in turning Texas Blue...bringing the progressive republicans over here (and, yes, there are a lot of middle-of-the roads...industry,engineering,medicine,colleges).
Reality about Texas Democratic Party,at least for the next decade...we will be moderate and more bilingual.
Our Party Platform says it all.

(3,440 posts)My neighbor's sign was set on fire Friday night. No problem, the Houston Arson squad is investigating - never knew the HPD had so many good democrats!
Meanwhile, I'm the precinct chair - I have plenty of signs.

(6,661 posts)My bumpersticker on my van attracts glares, stares, honking of horns, and an occasional flipping of the bird. In 2004, I had a Kerry sticker and sign on my lawn. The sign survived. but my mechanic found two nails placed in perfect position in each of my rear tires.
