UPDATE: Sanders now WINNING Drudge poll?!

SANDERS 32.57% (336,757 votes)
TRUMP 31.77% (328,533 votes)
CRUZ 19.95% (206,262 votes)
RUBIO 5.15% (53,237 votes)
PAUL 3.39% (35,012 votes)
CARSON 1.48% (15,350 votes)
KASICH 1.38% (14,292 votes)
FIORINA 1.07% (11,027 votes)
CHRISTIE 1.06% (10,935 votes)

BUSH 0.94% (9,687 votes)
CLINTON 0.93% (9,574 votes)

SANTORUM 0.21% (2,142 votes)
O'MALLEY 0.1% (1,299 votes)

Total Votes: 1,034,107

Neither of the two people predicted to be the nominee in 2015 get even 1% of the vote.

The number of people with less than 2% is also pretty telling.

1. I don't know any progressive who takes Drudge seriously

I'm getting very suspicious of all these republicans and rightwing nuts all of a sudden giving Bernie the favorable news treatment

2. MANNNNNNNNNNNNY

Non-conservatives read Drudge. I'd suggest than many progressives do even. It is DEFINITELY right leaning, but his format is great for breaking news and catching up on the days big stories.

So, I don't think disliking Matt Drudge and his agenda and reading the Drudge Report are mutually exclusive.

5. Good catch!

Doubt it will come back to that, but the fact it's so close on Drudge is definitely telling of what kind of pull Bernie can potentially have(and already has) with a lot of die-hard conservatives.

13. Hillary is a progressive liberal.

NO ONE is advocating against single payer. Hillary is saying Bernie's plan is not doable as is at this time.

Hillary tried to get us universal healthcare in the 1990s, while others did not. WHY on earth would you be trying to turn her into a healthcare opponent? That's for the BAD GUYS, and the truth is what it is.

18. Hillary Clinton lead and leads the healthcare fight

for universal healthcare.

Hillary cracked the dam in the 1990s, and at that time Hillary succeeded in her fight to provide single-payer coverage for children.

The Obama administration brought the dam down, and now we all know single payer is an inevitable evolution eventually -- in time. After all, we already have single payer for seniors, military personnel active and retired, veterans, disabled, and poor children.

ITM, Obamacare is a revolution. The GOP spits on it too.

21. She is currently leading the fight against it

She continues to spread fear regarding single payer and is harming the fight in the long term for what she sees as short term political gain. Of course taxes are going to go up for single payer but, in the long run, families will save money on healthcare. By raising the spectre of taxes and not being honest regarding the savings, in addition to other half-truths, she has effectively neutered her ability to be taken seriously on any push for universal healthcare/single payer in the future. All anyone has to do is play back video from this primary season.

Circling back to your original point, what is more in-democratic - reading a right wing site and noting interesting trends in it or actively arguing and damaging progressive stances and values in the search for a few votes?

9. Of course! GOP WANTS TO RUN AGAINST BERNIE.

Is that really so hard to figure out? They're so screwed they desperately need a massive stroke of good luck. Not that they're right in thinking Bernie'd be a complete walkover -- they misunderstand terribly the tenor of the times.

And if they can't take out Hillary out entirely, using Bernie to damage her before she goes into the general is very much a secondary objective.

19. whether sanders or trump is ahead,

the important takeaway is that sanders, trump, and cruz are 1,2 and 3. this matches other polls and is very consistent with the antiestablishment vibe that is out there.

i still predict a sanders v trump general.

Fact is, it makes perfect sense today. Progressives are in the fight of our lives to stop this. The writing is on the wall and the conversations from back in Seattle were completely accurate.
