2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHarold Ford Jr is a Senior Manager at Morgan Stanley and "Ann Coulter's favorite Democrat."
I don't denigrate people's jobs, but lets be clear where Ford Jr. is coming from.
Ford is a Right Wing Nut. He's anti-choice, Bush loving, supported an anti-marriage amendment, bank executive, pro-torture. He wanted to challenge Kristin Gillibrand who is one of our rising stars and a future presidential hopeful in a primary. He was the head of the DLC and was probably to the right of them!
Harold Ford is not just what's wrong with parts of the Democratic party, he's a DINO. He's to the right of Trump on many issues. Democrats should take no advice from him if they have interest in Democratic causes and policies.
I can't say it any other way. We have to stay away from him. Let him join the republicans because he speaks for them, not us.

(88,117 posts)2. Of course he is. I have written much about Ford for years now.
He's probably my most unfavorite person of all.
BUT if he's not speaking for the Democratic party leaders, then someone in authority in the party MUST say so and not let him be an attack dog like that.
Same with McCaskill and Rendell.
