(51,076 posts)might just be the ticket. They're pretty much on the same page on a lot of issues and they each seem to have the others back. I'd be cool with that if it happens.

(19,926 posts)O'Malley seems like a good guy but he's not making any progress and he's not that powerful of a speaker imo. I don't see him lighting up the campaign trail in the same way Bernie does. He needs another firecracker.

(2,931 posts)But I don't think Bernie needs that, if he is the nominee. He will beat any R out there now. If the R's throw in some surprise candidate that really gets them energized, then Bernie would need a running mate like you describe.

The old, both from NE, same region-- nope, it's a different time, anything goes now.

(22,271 posts)Probably not. Ticket needs to be more balanced ideologically and geographically. Nice to have a little racial and/or gender diversity there as well.
Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)Her noise about how silicon valley is going to break encryption whether they like it or not, and her perpetual changing the subejct of marijuana legalization into "the drug menance" and more excuses to give money to the DEA, were bad enough.

(19,854 posts)...her defense is really pathetic when you think about it. Of course as Senator she also represented Wall Street. They've certainly given her enough damn money.
cui bono
(19,926 posts)Something almost exactly like "When I was Senator of NY I represented Wall Street.". I guess she forgot that when you are elected you are supposed to represent the people, not 'Wall Street'. Too many corporate shills forget what people actually are these days.
