I love and play this game, from Capcom...so much fun! This game was first developed by Japanese, but later went to Capom USA.

1. I'm confused ... is this DLC?

I've played all The Witcher games (awesome series) but been waiting for MHW to finally go on sale (seems to be holding steady at $59.99, and I just won't pay that for a game ... unless it's HL3 ) and I'm totally lost as to what this is? Why is The Witcher (from an Eastern European dev house) in a Japanese RPG? Does Geralt become a playable character for the whole game, or just have a DLC sidequest type of thing or what?

BTW, I just played Capcom's remake of RE2 last weekend, which I got free with my AMD Vega 56 GPU purchase ... a bit short, but pretty sweet. Awesome Zombies

2. In this game, you start off being your own hunter

but eventually you meet The Witcher and you answer his questions. Than you play the rest of the game as the Witcher using his weapons and Monster Hunter World weapons. You begin to start the mystery, of what creatures are in the ancient forest and play the game your way.

3. So are you saying it's a whole separate game, i.e. you buy either MHW or MHW+W3 version?

Or it's an add-on DLC to the base game? How much is it?

4. its a temporary Add on... the quest is only one quest

You will get to keep the gear you find, or earn but not sure what you get to keep. There are two more quests where this female, his companion joins the quest and your palico will get to be dressed up as one of the creatures from his world...but the Witcher cross over is for a limited time and probably will be brought back for the next festival period of three to four weeks. There is no extra cost... all you need is MHW on PC or Xbox to play. (oh and high enough rank, so you have to be like Rank 60 or so to play it.)

My friend got the entire witcher outfit and the creature that accompanies him. The female companion comes in the near future, probably next festival.
