Favorite Podcasts?

I don't post here often, but I thought I'd make a fun(and slightly controversial) post. Who are your favorite podcasters? I'll start with mine, give a brief summary after each link:

Here are the ones where I don't miss an episode.

Angry Black Rant

Ishmael Brown is a very angry black atheist, funny as hell, will drop the hard "r" occasionally(listen to latest episode for context). Topics include mostly politics, race and religion, no surprise. He happily labels himself anti-theist and very anti-religion, even I think he goes a little too far in his rants on religion sometimes.

Atheistically Speaking

This podcast is much more...sedate, the host is Thomas Smith and he has quite a few podcasts that he hosts. He talks about a lot of topics in the above podcast, not just atheism, and he has awesome guests on, for example, he had an active Chicago police officer on to talk about police violence and the struggles she had being a liberal Obama supporter in the police.

Opening Arguments

Another podcast hosted by Thomas Smith and Co-hosted by Andrew Torrez, a practicing lawyer as they delve into a lot of legalese, I like this type of stuff, some people may not.

Comedy Shoeshine

Another podcast hosted by Thomas Smith with his brother, mostly non-political, just them telling funny and personal stories, mostly.

Thomas and the Bible

This is Thomas Smith's oldest podcast, he has been reading the Bible for years and posts podcasts of what he read, he's on the Book of Revelation, so should be done with this podcast soon. I don't listen to this one that often, but figured I might as well put all his podcasts together.

Cognitive Dissonance

Tom and Cecil, two friends with a lot to say. This is a podcast that is openly, aww fuck it, their studio is called "Gloryhole Studios" so take a guess as to how crude they can get. Its also very political and these guys laugh a lot at their own jokes, but are also genuinely funny. Very explicit, and they have a tendency to cross the line twice.

The Scathing Atheist

This is a political/religious podcast that is just as explicit as CogDis. Hosted by Noah and Lucinda Lugeons, Heath Enright and now Eli Bosnick. These people are entertainers with opinions and its funny as hell. Their style may take some getting used to, but its worth it.

God Awful Movies

This is a podcast hosted mostly by Noah Lugeons, Heath Enright and Eli Bosnick, where they review Religious movies(mostly Christian) and the occasional other type of nuttery(What the Bleep do we know?). As you can imagine, very explicit.

The Skepticrat

Also hosted by the GAMcast guys, politically focused, but hasn't been updated in months, they promise it will come back, eventually.

I haven't listened to him in awhile, but have been meaning to. He's got the perfect radio voice. Makes me feel super chill.

but Neil deGrasse Tyson's Star Talk is very cool. Just listened to an episode where a guest host (Astro Mike) was interviewing NASA flight directors.

Comes on right after John Fuglesang. If I had to give up TV or Sirius, I'd gladly give up the TV.

Matt Dilahunty and friends from the Austin Texas atheist group. The format is a live call in show every Sunday afternoon.
Who knows where the calls will take them?

No Such Thing as a Fish - nothing to do with irreligion, just funny and informative.

Museum of Curiosity - similar pedigree but different tone and format.

Very cool guys.

When Irreligiosophy host Chuck took a break from podcasting a few years back, many of the fans stumbled upon Cognitive Dissonance and built up its early fan base. If you like Cog Dis, you'll probably like Irreligiosophy.
