I have lost ALL RESPECT for Reza Aslan & Glen Greenwald!!

I guess I am naive...I thought of all people Reza Aslan being a scholar would conduct himself like one but I was very wrong! And Glen Greenwald I guess I can see him acting like an idiot & LYING about others to defend a position he holds that is obviously wrong!

I was honestly shocked to see Reza Aslan RETWEET a ridiculous personal attack TWEET about Sam Harris yesterday that took a quote from his book completely out of context to make him look like a truly evil person...Then Glen Greenwald RETWEETED it not long afterwards...When both know Sam Harris' book very well & have had plenty of discussions about it & know the quote used does not mean what the TWEET says it does yet they had no problem RETWEETING it to millions of people!

FUCK BOTH OF THEM! Now I have to call into question everything either of them have ever written or published...If they are going to willingly put Sam Harris' life in danger because they can't defend their position intellectually then they would lie about anything!

I saw that Subject Line in my Inbox: "On the Mechanics of Defamation" but had not opened it yet.

It really is despicable of Azlan and Greenwald to retweet that "poster" with that phrase on it, especially after Azlan's dust-up with Harris after the Real Time argument. And here I thought Azlan was interested in furthering discussion and understanding. Sheesh! Apparently not.

It rather smacks of the tactics of centuries past, of religious people smearing those they don't trust or had an argument with as being witches or "of the Devil" to get the community to turn on them and maybe, just maybe, snuff them out. Although we have come a long, long way, we have a much further way to go.

Azlan had better address it or his rep is going to really get trashed.

But in this seriously screwed up world there are instances where it is a matter of reality...And some people just refuse to admit it. There was no sitting down at the negotiating table with Al Qaeda or ISIS...It is either fight or flight & you can only run for so long. LISTEN to what they say not the emotion you wish were true.

It bothers me to argue with Tea Baggers because most are uneducated ignorant fools who think they know everything...But to see some of my fellow Liberals who are very well educated LIE & resort to the Right Wing playbook of politics of personal destruction because they can't construct an intelligent argument to refute Sam Harris' very well constructed arguments is DEPRESSING!! Instead they call him a racist & a bigot & LIE and say he calls all Muslims radicals...If that were true then every single Liberal who criticizes Conservative Christians is also accusing all Christians of being radicals.

BTW-Reza Aslan is a complete & total LYING FRAUD! He does not hold a single PhD in religious studies, NOT ONE! His only PhD is in Sociology & he is a professor of creative writing...And yet he goes on national TV & LIES about his credentials & says Sam Harris has no grounds to talk about religion because he is a neuroscientist, WTF?!?!?

This is what he said about how to deal with ISIS...

At least Sam Harris talked about trying to capture them first then kill them...Reza Aslan takes an even more hawkish stance yets says the disgusting things about Sam Harris?
