I haven't put him on ignore. This latest one, though, takes the cake. Unbelievable.

So much for "other ways of knowing"....

Of course with not so humble bum, it was more like "other ways of being a brick wall.... a self righteous brick wall.

Utterly wooed-out beyond all hope of recovery of course but at least he (assumption on my part - gender unknown AFAIK) actually has a grasp of what it was he was cavalierly dismissing in the first place. You can't really criticize an ESL writer for their minor errors of syntax when they are capable of writing such insightful and thought-provoking stuff, however fanciful. How long would it take any of us to do the same in Finnish, IIRC. Swedish? Either one! Reminded me of a modern-day Charles Fort in a way. I have much higher regard for flights of fancy than for fundamentalism, however frequently frustrating (he said, accidentally alliteratively).

So what caused the pizza there?

I mostly ignored him, as he was just too far out in left field for me to deal with, but he was interesting. Weird.

Like you said, when she first showed up I was willing to cut her some slack because of the language issue.

But as I read more of her stuff, I was pretty sure it wouldn't make sense in Finnish either. Or English. Or Urdu. Or Martian...

And if you're going to be wooed-out, dammit, at least be entertaining.

At least as entertaining as One Of The Greatest Movies Ever Made, Iron Sky. Which postulated not only Nazis colonizing the dark side of the moon, but invading Earth with Space Zeppelins! (Also a U.S. President with a remarkable resemblance to a certain Alaskan grifter...right down to the stuffed polar bear in the Oval Office.)

at calling people jerks and telling them to go fuck themselves in English. And sorry, but he was disgustingly disingenuous. He'd play the quantum woowoo and postmodernist crap for all they were worth when he wanted to be a shit-stirrer, but when concrete evidence and definitions suited him, he'd talk out of the other side of his face just that quick.

On edit..or she...not that it changes much.

Didn't see what precipitated his departure, but these were his final words:

Theory of evolution is not objective theory. It's participatory ethical theory.

How fitting he should go out like that...

If I had any alcohol in the house, I'd drink to that decision and suffer the migraine gladly, some sort of celebration should mark that particular pizza delivery.

He was only here to proselytize the heathen Democrats. I'm glad somebody finally caught on to that.

Not that I feel that sorry for them, though, given that there are a few recent members who are at least as rabidly anti-atheist as humblebum and LARED ever were--I'm sure they'll step in and fill those particular shoes in no time. (And let's face it, if the believers over there didn't call out humblebum and LARED for their obvious and continuing anti-atheist bigotry, it isn't as if any new atheist-haters will be in any danger of it, either.)
