To be awake half an hour before sunrise, go to bed a couple hours later each night. Within a few days you'll be up at the right time to see the comet before turning in.

And be assured this is not just keyboard jockey advice. I've done it myself, more than once.

According to spaceweather.com, the molecular emission lines have faded sharply over the last several days, but visual images still show the comet shining brightly. The nucleus may have fragmented, but it's too soon to draw any conclusions.

Looking forward to this unique event. Let's hope it doesn't just get vaporized by the sun!

5000 degrees and 10 million degrees. Not sure whether that's Celsus, Fahrenheit, Reamur, what. Need to know for exactitude.

If the units of temperature are not given, I assume it is degrees of separation from either Kevin Bacon or our own Mr Scorpio.
