SETI@Home now has an Android version!

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=72710

Looks like you install the app, then manually enter SETI@Home's URL for the project to join.

I just installed it; waiting to get my first work unit.

You can set it so it only runs when plugged into an outlet, which is a nice battery-saving option.

There are other projects you can join as well, if you're not into aliens. I personally have been looking for them for over 14 years.

Based at the Aricebo observatory, UC Berkeley has it's own receiver at the dish running 24/7. Wherever the antenna is pointed they take data. Not the most efficient method since they don't target specific stars, they do collect massive amounts of data. (AFAIK)
