Anyone follow a Hindu-inspired path?

A friend of mine just got married. As practicing Hindus, they also had a Hindu ceremony which included the ritual use of a kangling (leg bone trumpet) and a kapala (human skull cup). I understand these items are considered to hold special tantric qualities, and are also used in some forms of Buddhism (Tibetan, mostly). As a DU religious/spiritual group that draw inspiration from many faiths, what are your opinions of these ritual items and their use in modern practice?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment on the topic. I will cross-post this in the Ancient Wisdom and Buddhism groups, too.
