Prayer request for daughter undergoing surgery this morning.

Last edited Mon Jul 1, 2019, 11:11 AM - Edit history (2)

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for my daughter, Pamela Anne Gariety, who will be undergoing a right translabyrinthe resection for acoustic neuroma cranial surgery this morning . . . meaning a complete loss of hearing in her right ear due to a tumor that must be removed. Please pray for God to direct the surgeon's hands . . . and that Pam make a speedy recovery and successful rehabilitation.

Thank you . . . and God bless you all.

Edited to add:

UPDATE --- 4:50 p.m.

Surgery went well. The benign acoustic neuroma has been removed. Pam is in ICU and recovery is beginning! Thanks so much for all of the prayers and support!

UPDATE: Monday morning -- July 1st

Pam was out of ICU late last night; and, later today, she'll be coming home.

Thank you all for your prayers . . . and praise God!

2. May the surgery be successful and the recovery uneventful.

I just spent time in a hospital waiting room during surgery for a son-in-law, so I know what you will be experiencing, today. I hope your faith will help you through the day and that all turns out well.

8. This is the Mi Sheberach, the Jewish prayer for healing

May the one who blessed our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, bless and heal those who are ill [Pamela]. May the Blessed Holy One be filled with compassion for their health to be restored and their strength to be revived. May God swiftly send them a complete renewal of body and spirit, and let us say, Amen.

I hope everything goes well and that she has a full recovery.

My Lithuanian grandpap would have known that prayer. I'll have to remember it as my daughter heals.

P.S.
The surgery went well and my daughter is now in ICU.

38. How did you know Momma needs some rest?

Although my daughter is now 60 years old, Momma can still be a worry-wart who gets out of bed at 3:30 a.m. rather than tossing and turning all night the night before her baby's surgery. So . . .

After I finish this message, I'll be thinking about it being time for a nap!

:hugs:

11. Father,

Please make Your presence obvious in Pamela’s operation room this morning. Anoint the eyes, hands and minds performing her surgery. And, when it’s completed, please heal, restore and encourage her through recuperation. We thank You right now for Pamela’s miracle in the name of Jesus. Amen.

55. Thankfully, no! Neurofibromatosis wasn't the cause.

Yes, the surgery went well . . . and she's healing quite nicely
but she still has bouts of dizziness and asks for continued
prayers.

Though she will be in physical therapy for another month, she
is beginning to "learn" to drive again---though she is required
to have a driver with her in the car/ And, she can't drive at
night or when it's raining . . . windshield wipers running would
trigger dizziness. During her first attempts at driving
again ((yesterday and the day before), she said it felt like
drunk-driving must feel.

Anyway . . .

Thank you for stopping by to comment.

Two have passed but had surgeries as you described. They lived for over a decade after their surgery. I am thankful that she is doing well and does not have NF2.
