This Must Be The Place

I just watched this movie last night with friends. There is a small part with photos of starving concentration camp victims. I cried hard through that part but the rest is a very interesting, Sean Penn, movie. It is worth wading through the strange to get to the heart of this saga of an aging rock star. Jude Hursh is in it too.

Any one else seen this? What did you think?

Sweetie and I watched it on a whim on Netflix instant, mainly because we had seen Penn in "Milk" a few nights before. It was pretty good, and had some touching moments. I enjoyed it more than I expected to.

A weird little movie, but definitely worth a watch!
It's Sean Penn doing his mumbly-guy thing, but his Robert Smith hair and make up make it fun.

Because of the revolver in the photo. But I came to adore the crazy character. I came away feeling like Penn's character's existential angst partly came from his ancestry and family's history. The term pedantic was used I think. Not sure if I have that right. I need to look it up.
