On a webinar this morning with Rep. Clyburn and the Presiding Bishop (Episcopal)
Clyburn is getting ready to introduce a bill (301) to make "Lift Every Voice and Sing" our national hymn, which is different from the national anthem. We currently don't have a national hymn. We have a national cathedral, so why not?
In any case, he'd like for people to contact their congresspeople to promote the bill. I will call Barbara Lee.
BTW, if you know our Presiding Bishop, you know he PREACHES. He was raised Baptist originally. Anyway, he called in from the Atlanta airport, and he was PREACHING. I expected to hear "Amens" from the people in the airport. It was lovely.
