U.S. Government Continues the Investigation into GOA Misconduct

The GOA did not take out a $5.5 million dollar loan just because someone embezzled $66,000 over the course of six years. Officials are looking into someone else.

It is symbolic that on day the faithful are supposed to celebrate the arrival of our new Archbishop, we instead get sucker punched in the gut with the truth that has been suppressed by the GOA officials over the past two years. The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that the faithful were taken advantage of by employees in the GOA. Former Finance Director, George Papadakos, pleaded guilty yesterday to charging $66,500 to the GOA's corporate credit card for personal expenses without any official authorization. According to the U.S. Government, "these personal expenditures included charges for home improvements, clothing, a gym membership, iTunes, and medical bills."

However, there is more to the story. ...
