Twisted Sister's Jay Jay French is a Big Atheist

Submitted by American Atheists on Sep 19, 2012

Cranford, NJ – American Atheists today announced the addition of atheist Jay Jay French, founder, manager, and guitarist of the international, multiplatinum selling rock-and-roll band Twisted Sister, to the roster of speakers headlining the 2013 National Convention in Austin, Texas, March 28-31, 2013.

Mr. French’s guitar playing has inspired countless guitarists all over the world, and over 30 years after founding Twisted Sister, he is truly a living legend. As a manager, he has worked with such diverse artists as Sevendust, songwriters Andrew Fortier and David Forman, and blues guitar legend Johnny Gale.

The 50th Anniversary 2013 Convention will host up to 1,500 atheists at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas. Madalyn Murray O’Hair founded the organization in Austin 50 years ago.

David Silverman, President of American Atheists stated, “We are thrilled to have Jay Jay French join us for our convention. Not only is Jay Jay a renowned guitarist but he is providing leadership as an atheist in the music industry and as a role model.”

The press release reads "Rock musician is an atheist", to which the proper response is "Several people notice, fewer people care."
