1. I dunno, I find it kind of amusing

The National Cathedral is a pretty liberal congregation. Couldn't Trump get one of his prosperity gospel friends to do it?

3. Considering 45's involvement in all of this, I'm hearing

"May the herpes be with you."

4. I just assumed it was Trump being...well Trump. It turns out

several major countries already have space forces. My son is in the AF and they are very excited about the program. Of course I am less than enthusiastic about anything Trump touches. ETTD

5. When it was first announced, my thoughts went back to Reagan and his

outer space anti-missile defense system, aptly called "Star Wars". Reagan's PR folks said it would "protect the heavens".

It was fully intended not to protect the poor, education, health care, the environment or infrastructure. Just like today.

7. Of course. I was a young child during the Space Wars days,

but I do remember the idea that the Soviet Union could kill us from space was a scary. My neighbor's dad was obsessed with the Cold War and those darned Russians. Every now and then I wonder if he were alive today, how he would feel watching his precious Republicans, bow down before Russia the way they do.

8. The Air Force has had the Space Command since 1982

this "new" wing was unnecessary.

10. It's the trump way. Slap a new hood ornament on it, and claim credit for the whole thing.

6. There's a reason that a King James Bible was chosen.

This was done to appease a certain branch of his rabid RW dominionist followers.
