Pastor Fired for Wearing a Skirt (and a Boner) Over to Parishioner’s Home

File this one under proof that no good can ever come from answering the door-knocking of those in religious servitude:
Police began investigating Robert Christian in March after a 72-year-old woman and former member of the Heritage Congregational Church on 29th Avenue, where Christian is senior pastor, said Christian showed up at her home in the skirt unannounced Feb. 27.

The woman, who lives alone, said Christian said he’d lost a bet and had to wear a skirt for the day, according to court documents. The woman invited Christian in and he asked to use the bathroom. He emerged from the room after an extended period and sat down at the dining room table for coffee. It was then the woman saw Christian’s erect penis sticking out the front of the button-up skirt, police allege.

The victim said her cultural beliefs prevent her from making allegations against people in positions of authority, so she said nothing to Christian. He stayed at the home until two real estate agents arrived for a previously arranged showing of the home. Christian told the victim “don’t tell them I’m a pastor” and left after explaining to the real estate agents he “had lost a bet which was why he was wearing the skirt,” police say.

The victim said she was extremely anxious and fearful as she prepared coffee for the real estate agents, then exclaimed to them “Do you know what he did to me?” and told them about the exposure.

2. According to Pastor Bob, he was actually wearing a kilt. That explains it.

According to his biography on Heritage Congregational Church’s website, Pastor Bob ordained in June of 1989. Prior to seminary Bob served as a police officer in suburbs of Toledo, OH for 13 years.
