Related: About this forumDetention of American Christian in North Korea concerning White House
From the article:
North Korea has detained a U.S. citizen a self-described Christian missionary raising the number of Americans held there to four..........
http://religionnews.com/2017/05/08/detention-of-american-christian-in-north-korea-concerning-white-house-2/
So North Korea, an atheist country, is detaining and persecuting a Christian missionary. That sounds like intolerance to me.

Especially the authoritarian type. But I cannot imagine North Korea being a likely site for a Trump hotel.

(947 posts)3. Yes, yes,
it is BECAUSE of their atheism this happened...
Why, yes of course it is...
Nice try.
Thanks for the breaking news that North Korea is intolerant. Never would have known that.

no matter how silly or desperate the effort.

Korea is very far from Scotland.

(49,533 posts)6. And of course...
Experts on North Korea consider the detentions an attempt by the authoritarian North Korean regime to gain bargaining chips as it resists U.S. pressure to rein in its nuclear program, with which it has threatened South Korea and the U.S.
But it's really due to atheistic intolerance. Because reasons.

(42,641 posts)8. Co-opted and adapted is the key.
You might want to reread your articles.

(33,982 posts)11. Right, because it's a means of controlling behavior/people.
Atheism, by itself, isn't.
guillaumeb
(42,641 posts)12. Atheism is being used as justification.
Atheists can be just as intolerant, just as controlling. There are fewer instances to cite because most people are not atheists.

...and tried to find the passage where Not-God tells atheists to imprison Christians.
Couldn't find it.
