Pro-Gay Atheist Sides With Christian Mingle

July 2, 2016
by David Smalley

As an atheist activist, I am not necessarily against Christianity, but rather, I’m against injustice.

For example, in just a few days, I’m headed to Williamstown, KY to protest against a Christian organization. But not because they are Christian.

Ken Ham and his Ark Encounter are taking $18 million in tax breaks for a “ministry tool” disguised as a tourist attraction, while simultaneously discriminating against those tax payers by only hiring Christians.

That’s an injustice I’m fighting against next week.

If I'm not mistaken (and I very well might be), the concept of justice within the realm of biblical teaching is to be adhering to and obeying the will of the lord God with Gods will set forth through his word, the bible. Psalm 37-27:29

I'm curious whether any Christians reading this define justice a different way. Also, how does any atheist reading this define justice? The concept seems to lose meaning without some sort of ideal through which it is grounded in.

Catechism of the Catholic Church:

1836 Justice consists in the firm and constant will to give God and neighbor their due.

Can't have one withot the other.
