I'm not a christian, but general statements are always open to loopholes.
I doubt if anyone by that name ever lived and if he did he was nothing like the words that were put put together centuries later. But if they give some people some comfort and they don't use them to control me or used as an excuse to screw over others, have at it. The scriptures are so vague, to me they are useless to attack or support anyone personally. No one is going to change others minds, they have to make up their own.
