http://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/victims-skeptical-about-catholic-churchs-invitation-to-healing-service-for-past-abuseKANSAS CITY, Mo. - Instead of offering an apology to all victims, the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph offered a healing service on Wednesday for anyone who has been abused by someone in the church.
The diocese sent letters to victims of abuse who filed lawsuits against the church on Tuesday, inviting them to several services specifically aimed toward spiritual healing for victims of abuse.
Michael Sandridge received one of the letters.
What is the purpose now?" he said. This healing means its closed. Its not closed. There are still so many people that have been damaged."
A "healing" service. Why don't they just call it what it really is: a "Get the fuck over it, 'cause we ain't apologizing" service.

I'd say clueless, but they know exactly what they are doing, just hope it backfires.

Alternative energy source.

(7,886 posts)9. Come now
The legal arm of the Catholic Church is completely separate and acts on it's own from the spiritual side. Same with any and all political activities that we don't like. All rogue unsanctioned actions taken by non religious sides of the church, and in other countries or cities we will never visit.

just not attend any more services at that diocese to avoid messy ethical issues.
