From the link: The Saints made multiple moves earlier Thursday to absorb Watson's $35 million salary in a potential trade, a source told ESPN's Field Yates, restructuring the contracts of quarterback Taysom Hill, defensive backs Bradley Roby and Malcolm Jenkins and linebacker Demario Davis to leave the team with $29.9 million in cap space.

UPDATE:

Baker Mayfield has requested a trade from the Browns, telling ESPN's Adam Schefter that it is "in the mutual interest of both sides" for Cleveland to split with the star quarterback.

"It's in the mutual interest of both sides for us to move on," Mayfield told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "The relationship is too far gone to mend. It's in the best interests of both sides to move on."

The Browns, however, have informed Mayfield's camp they are "not accommodating his request," a source told ESPN's Jake Trotter.

SNIP

Mayfield has strong interest in the Colts, who are in the market for a quarterback after trading Carson Wentz to the Commanders, and believes Indianapolis offers a good chance for him to win, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

HOW MUCH MORE DYSFUNCTIONAL CAN THIS TEAM BE? You know what? I'm ready to believe it's not Beckham, or Landry, or Mayfield that's the problem. THE FRONT OFFICE STINKS. OWNERSHIP STINKS. THE FRANCHISE STINKS.

I remember Landry on Hard Knocks being a huge improvement over what the Browns had. The Browns before Jarvis Landry were a lot worse.

while it just might have been the Browns' front office that was the problem.

Landry had a bit of a public upset with Beckham's release when he could have kept quite. But perhaps it was the right thing.

The way Cleveland has handled Mayfield has been messy IMO.
