1. Not to mention they're in 2nd in their own division.
Detroit currently owns the tiebreaker having beaten Green Bay earlier.

unless I'm not understanding you correctly.
Cardinals had the edge in conference records IOW -- they had control of their own destiny as far as home field went. If Green Bay defeats their final two conference opponents as well as Arizona falling to Seattle then losing to San Francisco and a Seattle loss to St. Louis Green Bay gets the #1 seed. If Arizona defeats Seattle then they clinch it but they still had control of their own destiny even if Green Bay beat Buffalo because of the 1 game edge in conference records. |
