The wacky winter almost everyone experienced slowed down the return of several of my Spring arrivals. My Grosbeaks are just now showing up.

I'm watching the woodpecker right this minute gobbling up the peanut butter suet. He is keeping the others birds at bay.

I've got some Cow birds but they fly away at the least little movement. I'm hoping to get a decent photo of one.

I love the west but miss the beautiful colors of the eastern birds. I am fortunate to have a closeby nest of great horned owls with three big fluffy babies and one flew out yesterday, landing on the ground, but mom and dad are nearby.
