I did not see any flat time trails, but there is a time trial at Pau, which should be hilly and difficult. The only rider that I can remember who wasn't caught doping that such a Tour would favor is Miguel Indurain. I was about to write Pedro Delgado, but his tour win may have been invalid due to suspected doping.

I don't know about you. I have watched old video of the great multi tour winners. In some ways I wish that such dominant riders existed today, but with the contracts of today, that isn't possible because a top rider can't collect and hold top domestiques like to old time dominant riders could.
