Found the window sticker from my 1976 Corvette. Thought you

might like to see it

Added cruise control on the 5-speed manual transmission for $150, bringing the total to $9879.85.

GMAC interest charge was like 11%. But I paid that Vette off in less than 36 months.

1. Yeah, back in 1964 a new one was less than $4000 IIRC

then came the Vietnam War, and all hell broke loose on inflation.

5. Found this one from the NCCA National Convention in 1980.

I was just getting ready to go around Daytona's track.

3. That was a real expensive car back then!

A regular family sedan was $3000 to
$4000.

4. Mmmm ... my 77 Buick Regal was $6000.00

Black and red like this, 350 V8, but with stock wheel rims. AC, power brakes, power steering, power windows. That's probably a grand right there.
