Geneva Long, 29, the Los Angeles-based CEO of Bowlus Road Chief travel trailers, on her 1990 CitroŽn Deux Chevaux, as told to A.J. Baime.

My dad, John Long, has been collecting vintage cars for years, and growing up I would spend a lot of time with him in the garage. His first car was a CitroŽn ID19. He found it in a field and got it for free, and he still owns itóone of many CitroŽns in the family.

My father had a particular affection for the CitroŽn Deux Chevaux, or 2CV, as it is known. He had a blue one called Beluga, and there was a pair he called Salt and Pepper because one was white, the other black. (Salt and Pepper shared parts, so they never ran at the same time.) Growing up, we would take drives in these 2CVs. I would sit in the passenger seat, and it would be my job to shift the gears.

1. Citron means lemon.

A judgement on the reliability of the CitroŽn brand?

3. Actually, citron is a fruit on it's own. The "mother" citrus fruit.

All citrus derives from citron.

Lemon is a hybrid of bitter orange and citron.

4. What I meant was that the word citron means lemon in French.

A play on the French origin of this car.

6. I had to edit the title. DU's software won't let certain characters appear in a title box.

"Ž" is one of them. It removes the entire character rather than let it appear as "e."

7. Understood. Non-English letters are an issue.

But my intent was only to make a pun on the title.
