Dan Le Batard will apparently avoid suspension, ESPN insists their no politics rule remains in force

ESPN’s pointless “no politics” stance adopted by president Jimmy Pitaro was never a good idea, and Dan Le Batard took the opportunity yesterday to thoroughly skewer it on-air while also criticizing President Trump’s attacks on minority Congresswomen.

“So, what happened last night. This felt un-American. Basically, a chant, ‘Send her back.’ It’s not the America that my parents came to get for us … There’s a racial division in this country that’s being instigated by the president. And we here at ESPN haven’t had the stomach for that fight because Jemele (Hill) did some things on Twitter, and you saw what happened after that. Then, here, all of the sudden, nobody talks politics on anything unless we can use one of these sports figures as a meat shield in the most cowardly possible way to discuss the subject.

politics and sports have been locked together since Jackie Robinson made it into MLB. Lotsa folks on sports forums I'm on HATE when he gets political......"politics don't belong in sports" is their mantra, I say it does. Good for you Dan, I'll keep listening and watching your sports show.
