Canada's daring ice dancers tone down 'rated-X' move, still heat up Pyeongchang Winter Olympics

“Porno?”

That was Scott Moir last month, when asked about the daring new up-thrust move he and partner Tessa Virtue were showcasing before the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Virtue was a little more politic, calling it “edgy.”

“We wanted to make a bit of a different statement,” she said, “and if that was bringing a certain edge or sexuality or darkness or a contemporary feeling to it, mission accomplished, I guess.”

It was accomplished all too well, in fact. Britain’s The Independent reported that Moir and Virtue “have been told to change their routine after it was deemed too ‘suggestive’ and ‘edgy’ to perform for global audiences.”

2. Huh. I saw that move live and that interpretation never occurred to me.

I did rewind it a couple times just for the "How'd they do that?" factor.

4. People need to grow up.

It's no more suggestive than many of the advertisements you see plastered everywhere. Added a little innocent spice, IMO.
