Thoughts on The World Series, Game 1

Terry Francona takes no prisoners. Win today. Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. 40+ pitches by Miller? No problem. I love the way he's managed the postseason (easy to say now, of course).

Those two homers by Roberto Perez are huge. Now the Cubs have to pitch the #9 position (or 8 at Wrigley) a lot more carefully.

Watch for the Cubs to be more aggressive at the plate tonight and throughout the series. They will be next time they face Kluber for sure -- won't be taking as many pitches.

I know it wasn't game breaking, but when he had that cramp, they should have been forced to pull him...

Never seen anything like that. There were 3 or 4 trainers out there, giving him water, massaging him...

Baseball is slow enough - that was complete bullshit.

the umps allowed it though so it must be okay. Injury delays are not new. When a catcher takes a pitch off the groin or head he's given as much time as he needs to collect himself.

That is pretty incredible. But he did have the luxury of playing the Rockies in 2007.
