he is in a really tough spot....possible one stoke penalty, and he won't know until his round is over. I've NEVER heard of this EVER. Hope he could come back and win this baby outright.

7. That Was A Stupid Penalty

Glad it didn't affect the outcome.

He did not touch that ball, and he had not grounded the putter behind the ball. There was no address yet, and he didn't cause it to move.

That was painfully obvious and because they showed it a million times, there is no justification for that penalty stroke.

He could have gotten shafted again, because at Whistling Straits, the USGA punted by not marking bunkers and letting anything with sand be a bunker, including the part where spectators were walking.

Are they targeting this guy? Penalties twice and one of them where no rule was even broken?
