Turns out the Blackhawks did not win the Stanley Cup after all.

The Bears did. Yes, you read that correctly.

On Monday night the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, but the people of South Korea failed to get that message, as a local English language newspaper confused the team with its football counterpart.

The Korea Times sports section printed the team’s celebration photo and an Associated Press recap of the game, but the headline writer got a little confused and lead with “Chicago Bears clinch Stanley Cup.”

The Blackhawks winning three Cups in six years is an extremely impressive feat, but it would pale in comparison to how amazing it would be for the Bears to strap on skates and somehow take the NHL title home.

"What if Da Bears were all on ice skates?"

"Da Bears, two-nothin'."

edit: Isn't that Jay Cutler right behind the Cup?
