Any chance we could convince Coach Rob to come back to Grambling??

(5,909 posts)Absolutely disgusting. That school is forever tainted in my mind. The cover-ups by the administration, Paterno, his wife and everyone else that even suspected but did nothing should rot in fucking hell if there is one.
Although the cost of college is outrageous these days I wouldn't let my kids go there if they got a free fucking ride.
I still remember the dumbass kids rioting and defending their "Jo-Pa" when his statue was removed. I love sports, attended a college that has had quite a successful basketball program with both women and men , did a lot of stupid shit in my teens and twenties but I can't even excuse that behavior with mob mentality/youth/alcohol although that was a large part of it. Shameful.
I need to google and see if registration went down after this "scandal", which is an understatement to describe the horrific abuse that was allowed to go on for years when so many people knew.

(12,336 posts)And people should be reminded just what that demented old bastard did just to win football games. Yes I know Paterno didn't do any of the actual molesting but he enabled it and kept quiet about it just to win football games. So restore his wins and make damn sure there's an asterisk next to them with the explanation that "He enabled a monster, kept it quiet all in the name of football."
Or something like that.
