KETV Omaha: Sports legend Bob Boozer dies

Omaha, Neb. - Omaha lost a legend and leader this weekend; Bob Boozer died Saturday at the age of 75.

Boozer’s widow told KETV Newswatch 7’s Melissa Fry her husband had a brain aneurysm.

At 6 feet, 8 inches tall, you had to look up to Bob Boozer. Fitting, because Boozer was known as a leader to many.

By 1971, Boozer was a 2-time All-American in his final season with the Milwaukee Bucks. They were NBA champions that season. Boozer was also part of the 1960 Olympic team that brought gold back to the USA.
