No win for the ages. Or, for that matter, the aged. Madison Bumgarner scattered four hits over 7 1/3 innings and took a no-hit bid into the sixth Thursday in the San Francisco Giants' 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.
At 49, Moyer failed in his second attempt to become the oldest pitcher to win a major league game.

Moyer will get that oldest winning pitcher record sooner or later, he looked pretty decent today...
Bad news for the Giants is Brian Wilson appeared to injure himself in the 9th..though he stayed in and got the save. He didn't look good at all, even before the apparent injury..

Check out how Wilson's velocity dropped after the injury. Bochy should have taken him out..

Who was left in the bullpen you could trust? Even with velocity down Wilson was still locating pitches.
But yeah, I yearn for 1-2-3 ninths too.

Besides I'm enamored by the coverage by Bob Costas on the Phils-Clown Fish game.
