1. it wasn't a great final round in terms of drama, I didn't think

Although there were certainly some good moments and outstanding shots.

After Oosthuizen's double eagle he had the lead until 16, and there weren't a ton of challenges to him, either. Phil was out of it after his mega-gaffe on 4. By the time he worked back to 8 under it was too late. Matt Kuchar made a run to tie but then slipped on the next hole. (And then, for some reason, CBS didn't show him again until the 18th fairway, even though he still had a chance to post a solid target number.) Hansen stayed fairly close for most of the day, but since he wasn't making birdies they didn't show him.

Obviously the numbers were down b/c Tiger wasn't in contention, and I'm sure some people tuned out after Phil's triple bogey. But more than simply the lack of Tiger failing to draw people in, I think the lack of Tiger over the last few years has revealed how lazy the production became when Tiger was at his peak. When Tiger was at his peak, they could count on showing pretty much every stroke he took, and then filling in the gaps with the leader and a few other contenders and outstanding shots. Without him, they're lost. Not that Tiger's presence always resulted in great productions--three years ago when Angel Cabrera won, for instance, they showed all of about three shots from the eventual champion on the entire back nine (until the playoff). They were so caught up with Tiger and Phil that they missed what was actually happening.

6. I take it Tiger is your favorite?

Or one of your favorites? I only see this phoniness thing come from big Tiger supporters. I'm no position to judge whether he has an act(though it would be hard to imagine someone faking the emotions dealing with ill family members unless he is a skillful sociopath) but I tend to consider the source of those comments.

In regards to mad & other posts, they are being made like Tiger doesn't exist anymore. He is still playing and he is the one that isn't exciting, I don't understand how Phil isn't exciting. He is an aggressive player that takes gambles, there is excitement that results from that as far as golf game play goes. He isn't the most exciting to me, I consider the younger guys that are establishing themselves more exciting that either of those 2 IMO.

8. actually I do like Tiger and i do like Phil

and they are both needed. I also like Rory. Tiger just moves the needle like no one else and he is more real than every golfer out there. Yes, i know that you are supposed to be composed and that is a big part of golf but let's be real anyone who has ever played golf gets really pissed off at times and at least Tiger shows it.
I think that is why many people like Tiger. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and he is one of the only golfers who does. That is how it is in most other sports and most of the time it is why people gravitate to certain people because you feel the sport through them.

i personally think many golfers come off as aloof rich kids.

Phil makes way more mental mistakes than Tiger and many fans think tiger is arrogant. Almost all really good athletes are arrogant(can we say Bird and MJ).

What is interesting is according to many reports is that Tiger is liked by his fellow players but Phil is not. Google FIGJAM and see what the players ay about Phil.

4. perhaps the main reason ratings were down was that the final round was on Easter Sunday

That always lowers ratings.

http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2012/04/the-masters-final-round-hits-eight-year-low-in-overnight-ratings-third-lowest-in-20-years/

"The Easter Sunday holiday likely had a negative impact on the numbers. Four of the five lowest final round overnights of the past two decades have taken place on Easter — 1993 (6.8), 2004 (7.3), this year (8.1) and 2009 (8.8)."
