Cub fans, it's going to be a loooonnnnggggg year

I know the Epstein era has begun and they are preaching patience, but two blown saves in two games by the same guys?! C'mon! Seems to me that may be the definition for insanity, trying the same thing over and over again even though it fails every time.
As much as I have liked Kerry Wood and Marmol, it seems that perhaps they have lost it. Yeah I know we're only two games in and the Nationals may be a fairly good team, but can't Sveum (sp) try someone else since he's aware that his team stinks?
Ok ok, I'm done venting; but please Cubs, win one before I'm dead and gone.
One more thing; the Red Sox had an epic collapse last year. The GM? Epstein. Hmmm...

Too many fine persons have lived their entire lives being Cubs fans. There are certain things science can not explain, and that billy goat's curse from the forties is one of them.

at some point during my lifetime. By the way, I've been a Cardinals fan since birth, but I will gladly root for the Cubs if it is indeed "their year." The Cards started out slow last season and didn't even play worth a damn until September, then look what happened.

because they were willing to spend money to correct anything. The jury is still out on him as a general manager. I hope he does well.
