Since Man of Steel opened up, there have been a few Superman related threads here and there on DU...

Now in regards to the comic, having read Superman extensively when I was a kid and got away from superhero based comics for a while (I read more stuff along the lines of Transmetropolitan and the like), I have a question for you all...

has there ever been alternative history Superman comic that had him being born in the USSR? If so, please let me know, if not, wouldn't that be an interesting idea?

There was a graphic novel released about 10 years ago that deals with a Russian Superman called Red Son. I believe Mark Millar wrote it.

that is around 151 pages long. When I first got it I thought I got the whole thing, but I only got the first volume.

a character who stood up for the common man, the poor and opressed. He also fought corruption before he battled super villains.
Kind of what Dems aspire to...
You know, the people labeled Commies, Socialists, Facists, Racists over the years.
