Questions about Superman

You recall how he would duck into a phone booth to change clothes?

When he flew away to fight crime, did he leave his ‘Clark Kent’ clothes behind?
I never saw him carrying anything with him as he went “Up, up, and away”.

Did the citizens of Metropolis occasionally enter a phone booth and find good, usable clothing lying there?
Did they wonder who was littering the city with men’s clothes?

And if he was “Faster than a speeding bullet”, why didn’t he just change clothes so fast that no one could see him?
Why did he need the “privacy” of a phone booth.

I don’t remember ever taking my clothes off in a phone booth,
but didn’t they have clear glass sides?

I may have over thought this ...

I don't pull Superman, but I did put in to pull the Bendis run. Loved what he did at Marvel. I see a lot of complaining online (but, it's online, so that's what that's all about) about his retcon of the origin story.
