South Carolina is going to be Release the Kraken night on DU.

There will be panic! Chaos! The gnashing of teeth! Conspiracy theories will abound, and will astound one and all with their complexity and creativity, as well as their breath-taking inability to be taken seriously!

Fun times. Lookin' forward to it.

It really is.

I've no doubt HRC will win the GE. But the fact that if she didn't, the scapegoat has already been designated - and the fact that that scapegoat is black voters - is a frightening thought.

I'll say one thing for this primary - it certainly has outed a lot of posters. And I think we both know what they've been "outed" as being, and confirming what they've been all along.

Whether the candidate is Hillary or Bernie, they will need our support in November. I prefer Bernie, but I will not participate in running down Hillary, because she is light years ahead of anything that comes from the GOP. Soon, we will all have to learn to play well together- no use poisoning the well.

7. Bernie supporters ...

... poisoned the well when they started throwing long-revered Democrats under the bus for endorsing Hillary instead of Bernie.

They poisoned the well every time they declared an HRC supporter/endorser a warmonger, a bought-and-paid-for shill, or a water carrier for the 1%.

They poisoned the well every time they called someone like John Lewis a weak-minded sell-out.

They poisoned the well every time they swarmed the FaceBook pages or websites of people like Gabby Giffords or Sybrina Fulton and left unspeakably vile comments because they'd had the audacity to announce their support for HRC.

"We will all have to learn to play well together"?

Well, guess what? Democrats invariably learn to play well together - as has been proven in the aftermath of every Democratic primary since the process began.

The only people who don't "play well together" with Democrats after the nominee is determined are those people who probably weren't Democrats to begin with.

I responded to a poster about "poisoning the well", and pointed out how many BS supporters have done exactly that.

and while "hate" was probably the wrong word, your tone suggests that I am lumped in with the others. There are Bernie supporters that are shitheads. There are Hillary supporters that are shitheads. I think that both species of shitheads are not representative of the whole. But then, maybe I am just naïve.

And I don't believe my "tone" suggests that I did.

I merely pointed out what is known about Bernie supporters' behaviour, here and elsewhere. I've seen what gets posted here and on other sites. I have seen the comments left on the FaceBook pages of people like John Lewis when they endorse/declare their support for Hillary.

I agree that the "shitheads" on either side are not representative of the whole. But there is the fact that BS supporters have been cited time and again for their vitriol.

Keith Ellison endorsed Bernie early on. Was his FB page swamped with vile comments by HRC supporters? No. Was Killer Mike's FB page or website plastered with disgusting comments by HRC supporters? No. Has anyone who has endorsed Bernie been demeaned as a sell-out, or been accused of being bought-and-paid-for shills? No.

This primary has not been a case of "both sides do it" - because one side is doing some really, really nasty things that the other side hasn't even come close to engaging in.

I keep wondering what it is about Bernie and/or his campaign that is attracting this kind of person, or leading them to believe that their behaviour is acceptable. And so far, I cannot determine what that is. The man himself certainly hasn't encouraged it, nor given any hint that he condones it.

But it's been well-documented, and there is no denying that BS supporters have been spewing their hatred on websites, Twitter, etc., towards anyone who dares not support him. And the fact that the reasonable BS supporters have rarely spoken up against these tactics does not speak well of them either.

It was said by many at the outset of Bernie's campaign that his own supporters are his worst enemy. And that, sadly, has been proven to be the case.

I think with Sanders pretty much conceding SC to work on other states and with the margin of victory so big people here will just either congratulate Clinton and move on or carry on with what they're already saying. I think it's when it's a must-win or a close contest that the worst comes out and there's backlash.

I hope so anyway. Maybe I'm naive. Thanks for the hugs!

So while there may be antisemitism (and this is usually connected to religion) when it comes to voting for public office there was no connection.

And there are jewish elected officials from states with significant black populations where you can check.
