control issues

I had a thought as I was drifting off to sleep last night, that one of the main reasons for white racism is firmly entrenched in the need for control, over the 'others', by this society's privileged class. POC, descendants of the slave, especially need to be controlled. And deep seated fear and control issues are just one or two of the reasons for racial hate in this society. Am I wrong?

1. You are not wrong. I am white and grew up

poor in the 50's and 60's. My dad and his friends and co-workers were racists and the main reason was that they were so low on the economic and social totem poll that they needed someone to be lower than they were. That was the driving force to keep African Americans out of good jobs.
My neighbor was an electrician and to get into his union you had to be sponsored by a union member. He offered to sponsor me but I declined. The sponsorship was another way to keep the union all white.
