I was the one that got Joe his little time out a few months ago. I got three of his posts hidden in a single thread and it was just enough to kick him over into the time out stage. He was gone for about two blissful months.

And when he came back, he went right back to his bullshit with the consent of juries that let his idiocy stand over and over and over again. This place has been bad for a while but the juries are taking it over the edge. Someone can say the mildest thing about Manny Goldstein and they can't run to hide that shit fast enough but AverageJoe can slam the entire black community or feminists and juries just let it slide. It's a fucking joke.

Glad to see that Skinner finally got as sick of his trolling as the rest of us and realized that the juries for some reason were simply not going to do what needed to be done.

Although, then again, one must wonder how the Juries react to trolling overall. I know I've seen at least a few (false) accusations being spread around, that racism is supposedly widespread on DU, etc., from time to time(which it isn't. I thought he was alright. He was a fellow regular over at the BOG, and he had me fooled. But then I saw how he got into it with some of the regulars over here last year (and I think the AA group ended up banning him) and he had back-and-forth arguments with some HOF regulars too. So, I started wondering what was wrong with him. He also could not stay away from any threads that are related to race. Those threads attracted him like bees to honey. Every thread I saw (outside of the AA group) that was related to race, there he was, without fail. He claimed to be the same age as me, too, which made it extra sad when I saw how backwards he was on social issues and how he was on here just to troll instead of doing something more constructive. He was one strange dude...

We have another poster, a libertarian in most respects, in my view, who would vigorously post against the idea that climate change was real, he even asked for a group devoted to Climate Change denial (since we wouldn't put up with it in E/E). Anyway, when he asked for that group, AverageJoe joined in on it --even made the mistake of including me on the list of supporters when he was going to ask Skinner.

That got him on our radar.

His posts eventually ran the gamut of concern troll posts. Yes, it began with climate change, but then it branched out into racial issues and other things.

In fact, he seemed to lose interest in discussing climate change and instead seemed to focus on baiting posters of color here, and sometimes women/feminists.

While some say that we should ignore trolls, the only reason he got banned is that many in this group refused to ignore him and instead confronted his arguments. I learned of him because environmentalists confronted his arguments too.

So I'm glad others confronted him and didn't allow his arguments, his race-baiting to be left unanswered.
