Except for a few seconds at a time.

It's not like they are reporting on the abu ghraib effect......

Bush, Cheney, Putin are the worlds leading terrorists. Not like they are gonna run that story.....

Obviously the point of the OP is not the nationality of the victims, but the selective outpouring of grief and outrage,
compared to when the victims are NOT White Europeans.

but to be honest, I really couldn't care less about how many are dead from a country that supports this type of terrorist act.

And what does that say about the average American?

...who wasn't horrified by Shock and Awe. Attempting to diminish what happened in Paris, compared to Iraq, isn't helpful or necessary.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, drone strikes, carpet bombing, white phosphorous... America has dirty hands. Taking it out on the citizens of France is unfair. Suggesting that what happened in Paris pales by comparison is a matter of scope and perspective. If you lived in Paris, you might feel differently.

By any real measure.

Sorry for being able to count the corpses of the innocent.

I am not saying the citizens of Paris deserved this in any way. If I remember correctly, the French refused to go along with Bush, and Blair's empire building exercise in Iraq.

They create the enemies then send our troops to fight them, or let them come back and attack us.

That's why I never get into who deserves what, or which side is better or worse, because it's all part of the same thing.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Hurtful, rude, ott, insensitive. Belittling anyone who was bothered by the attacks in Paris and claiming that means they can't possibly care about other horrors like the Iraqis killed. Please hide.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Nov 15, 2015, 12:27 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Ridiculous alert.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I up voted the OP. Thanks for calling it to my attention.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The tributes are on youtube, yahoo, everywhere on the web but there was nothing after the 200 innocent Russians died at the hands of terrorists. If this had happened to a western countries, we would have been reading the biographies of some of those victims, we would know the ones who had dogs, the ones who cared for the poor, the ones who wanted to be doctors etc etc.

So yea, I agree with you and don't think your post is disruptive.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I Agree With The OP - America Has The Most Selective Memory And Is Always Rewriting History.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
