The commissioning of a new attack submarine that will become the North Dakota has been rescheduled.
KXMB-TV reports reports that commissioning for the $2.6 billion vessel will be held on Oct. 25 at the Navy shipyard in Groton, Connecticut.
The U.S. Navy says an earlier commissioning set for May was postponed because additional work was required on the bow of a new attack submarine.
The submarine is the 11th in the Virginia class of ships. The 377-foot-long submarine will be able to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, deliver special forces and carry out surveillance.

" for the $2.6 billion vessel "
These things cost closer to $7 billion, not $2.6 billion.
