One Punch Can Change Your Life — And End Someone Elses

One single punch can kill you. You don't have to bang your head on the way down after being knocked out either. The punch itself is all that is necessary to kill you. Every able bodied person is equipped with 2 fists as well as the even deadlier feet. Everyone is worried about firearms in the wrong hands, but what about the "wrong hands" in the wrong hands? Fists and feet are deadly weapons and are regularly used as such.

Did you know that you are 4x more likely to be killed by another persons hands and feet than with a rifle of ANY type? (even with the super scary tacticool semi-auto ones included) http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2010/crime-in-the-u.s.-2010/tables/10tbl20.xls

You have no obligation to let people attack you, even with bare fists. Retreat if you can, but do not hesitate to use force to protect your own life. Including deadly force. If someone advances upon you while you are armed and indicated that you are threatened and will fire if advanced upon then they are a deadly threat. Every police officer is taught this in academy, armed citizens should be just as prepared.

No one has the right to assault you, ever. You always have the right to defend yourself from harm.

Boxers describing a classic knockout punch talk about snapping their opponent’s head back or turning it around. That’s because punching someone unconscious—or killing them—usually results from the rotational forces placed on the head, not from the direct impact of the fist itself. A hook to the side of the head, or an uppercut to the chin, can send the head spinning, which breaks blood vessels inside the skull. In these cases, victims may die of internal bleeding hours after the fight, with friends and emergency medical personnel never realizing what was going on.

Sometimes the rotational forces on the head leave the blood vessels intact but stress the neurons to the point that they cease to function normally, causing a loss of consciousness. The victim then smashes his head on the concrete, which causes bleeding or other catastrophic brain injury. This scenario played out in 2003, when a drunken bar fly in San Diego killed a former Marine with a sucker punch.

What do you think: Are fists deadly weapons or not?

Smash and run, sometimes without even robbing the victim. Two killed in Austin's entertainment district in this manner, several badly hurt. Gang initiations, sadists. Fortunately, one Hyperpunk was warehoused for 40 years just recently.

11. I concocted the expression HyperPunk to denote a thug-type I.D.'d in a past thread...

A survey was taken about the motivations/precautions of home invaders and robbers. Beyond the usual rob in the day so no one is home, determine the habits of the homeowner, etc. A small by significant per centage of thugs dismissed these precautions in the actual hope of engaging in a violent confrontation with the homeowner; this was their signal need. Hence, HyperPunk.

4. Getting punched around a little is NEVER a reason to use a gun!

I think it's disgraceful that someone would resort to using a firearm when in legitimate fist fight.

What kind of namby-pamby gun-fetishist would shoot a man just for hitting him?

If someone hits you, by God you better beat them using Marquis of Queensbury rules, or you are scum.

It's true. I've read it here.

Oh, and fuck old people that get assaulted by younger, stronger punks. And women! Fuck them too! Hand to hand combat all around! Only the strong survive!!!

Much less rude that way, don't you think?

where a victim was killed by one punch, once a trachea was crushed, and the other was a strike to the side of the head which caused a massive aneurysm and a quick death.
Both suspects were subsequently convicted, one of murder, one of voluntary manslaughter.

7. While fists can be deadly weapons

and on rare occasions a single punch can kill, shooting someone to prevent them from punching you will likely land you in a courtroom and jail.

The legal term is disparity of force. In other words if 2 people of roughly the same age, physical condition and skill get into a fistfight, use of deadly force is usually not legally justified. As always there are exceptions, such as if it is known to the person being attacked that the attacker is proficient in a martial art, including boxing and wrestling.

Use of deadly force is usually justified when there is more then 2 attackers, the attacker is significantly younger and/or stronger or the person being attacked is handicapped or otherwise has a medical condition that would make them unusually susceptible to attack.

As always state law varies and like all Internet legal advice, is worth what you paid for it.

If someone comes into your home and threatens you, and later it turns out is unarmed, the homeowner will most likely not be prosecuted for shooting in self-defense.

Cannot take any more trauma to the head. I have been knocked out several times and blown up once. Only by a fist once though and that was a sucker punch with a piece of steel in the guys hands. No more, that said , I do not put myself in a position where it is likely to happen.

"I do not put myself in a position where it is likely to happen."
All the times but one were suffered while serving as a tanker in the fucking Army.
I do not need advice from you on this. When I go to work in a few minutes I will be carrying and I would think it criminally stupid not too.
Not going to be a victim.
