...darker cars are involved more often in accidents where there were serious injuries. One study found that brown cars were most prone to serious injuries, black and dark green cars were close behind the brown. Light colored cars like silver and white were found to be "safer".

If we're still allowed cosmetic latitude in car buying, why would cosmetic features of firearms be a cause for legislation?

from some of our more vocal anti's here.
But you do make a good point, if the govt. hasn't banned or restricted dark colored cars, why should they ban or restrict dark colored or added accessories on guns.
