3 Shot at Tampa funeral Home

Ugh. What a way to start off 2016.

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – Three people were shot at a Tampa Funeral home on Friday night.

It happened around 6:30 p.m at the Harmon Funeral Home located at 5002 N. 40th St.

A Tampa Police Department spokesperson said that the people who were shot were attending a wake for 19-year-old Sha-Mhya Turner.

Turner was killed in a crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Dec. 14. The crash made headlines in the Tampa Bay area. Police said Turner was driving and became distracted by a text and lost control of her vehicle. The car flipped and Zarcari Neal, age 2, was ejected. (Read full story here).

Investigators say Friday night’s shooting at the funeral home happened during an argument between family members.

God. Makes me frigging sick.

Funerals are an easy chance for a rival gang to "get even".

All the opposition is in the same place in small groups of "targets".

People living in these areas, imo, have suffered too long from ruinous conditions, post-Great Society. Now, much of the power to affect the lives of people comes from increasingly institutionalized gangs.
